Past events dating back to late 2003 are still in the process of being added. Watch out for it!!

Tsingtao Beer
. 14 Aug 2010 Although Daolang didn’t report on his blog, fans nevertheless spotted his involvement with a charity drive organized by the country’s well known beer company Tsingtao. It is so typical of him to be on the quiet side when it comes to charity work. He sang a song with Yunduo and donated a Chinese calligraphy artwork titled ‘Amitayus Buddha’. It was successfully sold for 200,000 RMB (about S$39,500). See video. See news1, news2

2 Aug 2010 WOW! A never-before proposal by a celebrity (although Daolang never considers himself as such) inviting Baidu Daolang Bar fans to rewrite the lyrics of Highland Borders Greeting Spring' 高原边关迎春光This was a piece of music written by Daolang with the original lyrics provided by a Border Officer. Although not released, it can be heard on the net. Ever sparkling with creativity, Daolang wanted to open a channel as a trial for fans in Baidu to be involved, in effect mainly as a way for interaction. Hence Baidu Daolang Bar was appointed to receive works by fans and then proceeding to fans voting their one favourite piece each.  He announced he'd sing the top 3 songs which he'd then release in Ayalaso for fans to listen to and once again pick the winner. The winning song will have a place in his own up-coming album – and royalties would be paid! Wow!

18 July 2010 Daolang only got wind of Hong Kong’s Alan Tam ‘s invitation to be his special guest for his concert on 20 July which he quickly accepted sighting Alan as an idol friend. While traveling from Beijing to Shengzhen, he composed a song he later presented to Alan on stage. It’s titled ‘Alan my forever friend’. Watch the video of the trip on YOUTUBE   Part 1 and Part 2.
6 July at Liaoning with Yun Duo.
Daolang was most happy with the time spent with Yunduo on the stage on 6.7.10 at the ‘Happy Hour at Liaoning’ as the audience there responded very warmly and enthusiastically. He disclosed that the stage director at the last minute had requested that he interact with the audience to give ‘Love is You and Me’ a longer presentation.  Poor Yunduo was unaware of it and was made to ‘stand’ for a while.
See video.

文化部文化援疆演出-刀郎

Daolang disclosed during the interaction with fans on his birthday that he’d be keeping 2 dates in Xinjiang right after his birthday on 23 & 24 June. He promised to ‘bring us along’ by video-taping his trip back  – and he did! See YOUTUBE Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 and also a clip showing a very relaxed Daolang having some fun with a mini keyboard...

Yellow Roses
'Yellow roses, among all the flowers, you're the prettiest. You'd been hurt, grief not....'  Finally we all now know that the song ‘ Yellow Roses’ that Daolang wrote for Huangcan’s 2007 album was actually written with his elder daughter (from his first marriage) in mind.. Left in the care of his parents while he was out carving a music career, they had missed out on each other’s company and so the song was written to give her some comfort, re-assuring her of his love.

Young Daolang Pic
Never seen before pictures of Daolang as a young child and as a young man (see pic on right)! Having a personal blog has enabled Daolang to stay close to his fans and delighting them with reports of his activities but showing his photos of his earlier years was a nice surprise gift fans greedily lapped it up hoho!
